To many persons, obtaining salvation is thought to be a difficult task. To them, it is comparable to climbing a mountain: with a lot of work, you might reach the top. To them, it is comparable to graduating from college: if you do all the required work you will graduate. To them, it is comparable to weighing 500 pounds and working hard to slim down to 200 pounds. One thing all these examples have in common is work! work! work!
But according to the Bible, which is God's Holy Word, we don't get salvation by work! work! work! In fact, according to the Bible, we don't have to do any work for salvation. It is free! free! free! The Bible tells us it is freely given to all who do what the Bible says must be done to get it.
